Tax Analysts Introduces New Column: The Art of SALT

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Tax Analysts, the independent, nonprofit provider of federal, state, and international tax news and analysis, announced the launch of a new monthly column, The Art of SALT. Appearing in State Tax Notes and State Tax Today, this new column is written by Arthur R. Rosen.

In his latest column, Wynne, Cloud Computing, and a State's Deference to Another, Rosen analyzes the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Wynne and how it could affect New York’s residency statute.

Rosen is a partner in the global law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. He was formerly deputy counsel of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, as well as counsel to the Governor’s Temporary Sales Tax Commission and tax counsel to the New York State Senate Tax Committee. He is a fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and in the Best Lawyers in New York; he is ranked in Chambers and the Legal 500; he has been named one of the top tax lawyers by State Tax Notes; and he was selected as the exclusive winner of the Lexology Client Choice Awards USA & Canada 2014 in the corporate tax category in New York.
